FLSmidth: Fuller-Kinyon dry screw pumps

February 26, 2013
The split screw design of the FLSmidth 3-piece screw for the Fuller-Kinyon™ M pump reduces maintenance to as little as 4 man-hours and increases bearing life. It's simple to unbolt the flight section and replace as there is no need to disconnect the drive.

This video compares the screw removal of the 3-piece screw to the 1-piece screw, demonstrating the greater ease and faster replacement of the 3-piece screw.  A 3-piece screw retrofit is available.FLSmidth's Fuller-Kinyon™ pump screw reduces down time and replacement frequency due to its thicker hard-facing, hardened flights, tighter tolerances and dynamic balancing.

This video will first show the exterior detail of the pump from all sides, then demonstrate the procedure for removal of the screw. One by one, each component involved in the procedure is removed, then the screw is pulled out.  The screw is then replaced and each component is reassembled, completing the procedure.
